Child Safety

An adults-only service, what is never permitted regardless of circumstance, and how to report it when you see it.

Effective

The rule, stated once

LivHub is for adults. You must be 18 or older — or older still, where the law that applies to you sets a higher minimum — and there is no version of this service intended for anyone below that line.

Personal information is not knowingly collected from anyone under that age. Where we find out it has been collected anyway, it is deleted as promptly as we can manage, and the account goes with it.

What is never permitted

These are not scaled penalties or judgement calls. They sit outside the normal warning ladder entirely:

  • Sexualised content involving a minor, in any form, anywhere on the platform — avatar, album, nickname, message, call or comment.
  • Any attempt to contact, solicit, groom or arrange to meet a minor.
  • Uploading images of minors to an avatar or album, including where the intent is innocent — the rule is absolute because judging intent from an image is not reliable.
  • Accounts operated by, or on behalf of, someone under 18.

How to report

If you believe someone on the platform is under 18, or you have seen content involving a minor, report it rather than assuming it has already been seen. Speed matters more than a complete write-up.

  • Use the in-product report and block tools if you are in the middle of an interaction — they carry the context automatically.
  • Otherwise send what you know: where it was, when, and any identifying detail that would let it be found again.
  • If you are a parent or guardian who believes a child has given us information, say so explicitly and it will be handled on that basis.

Reports of this kind go to [email protected] and are treated as the highest priority category there is.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services or national child protection authority first. A report here does not replace that, and it will not reach anyone faster than a phone call to the police.

What happens to a report

Content comes down and the account is suspended pending review rather than after it. Where a request from law enforcement or a regulator is legitimate, relevant records are preserved and we cooperate with it.

The enforcement ladder in the terms of service — warning, temporary suspension, permanent suspension — does not apply here. This category starts at the top.

For parents and guardians

Random video chat is not a category that can be made safe for a minor by settings, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. The protections here are an age requirement, moderation, reporting and enforcement — they reduce risk on a platform built for adults, they do not turn it into something appropriate for a child.

Device-level parental controls, browser restrictions and operating-system content filters do work, and they work regardless of what any individual site promises. They are worth setting up.

This page collects the child-safety provisions that also appear in the privacy policy, the terms of service and the community guidelines. Nothing here overrides them; it puts them in one place.
