LivHub video call: no link to send, no time to agree

Every other video call starts with logistics. This one starts with a tap — you are put on a live call with someone new, and when it stops being worth your evening, so does it.

A different kind of call

The phrase "video call" usually means an appointment. You pick a time, you send a link, somebody joins four minutes late apologising about their microphone. That version has its place, and this is not it.

On the other end There is no profile to read first. You see and hear the person at the same moment you decide whether to stay.

Who ends up on the other end

Whoever is live at that moment, which depends heavily on the hour you pick. A call at nine in the evening where you are is a call in the middle of somebody's working day somewhere else, and the two produce noticeably different conversations.

You can narrow the pool by country, language, region and level. Narrowing it hard makes matches slower and more specific; leaving it open makes them faster and stranger. Most people end up somewhere between the two after a few calls.

How long a call runs

For as long as both of you want to be there, which in practice means either ninety seconds or an hour with very little in between. Each call carries free talking time to start; past that stretch it draws on your balance, and the interface makes that visible ahead of time rather than after the fact.

LivHub video call questions

What is a LivHub video call?

A live one-to-one call with a person you have not met, started from a browser tab. There is no link to send, no meeting to schedule and nobody to add first — you are connected with whoever is available at that moment.

Can I choose who I get matched with?

Partly. You can narrow by country, language, region and level, which is what actually shapes who turns up. What you cannot do is pick a specific person out of a list — the matching stays random inside whatever you narrowed it to.

How long can a livhub video call last?

As long as both of you stay. Each call includes a stretch of free talking time, and beyond that it runs on your balance — the screen tells you before you get there.

Do I need a phone number or an account?

Neither, to start. You reach a live call as a guest. An account matters later, if you want to be findable again by someone you got on with.

Does it work outside my own country?

Yes — the pool is international, which is most of the appeal. Narrowing by country or language is there for when you want the opposite of that.

Is it livhub video call, livehub video call or live hub video call?

All three, and people type all three. The name is just live plus hub, so where the space lands — or whether there is one at all — varies by who is typing. Every version points at the same site.

No scheduling, no waiting room

Someone is available right now, which is the entire premise.
